* The Prince
* Jack Benjamin is the heir to King Silas's throne. He is also a skilled soldier and is roundly-respected by the King's Own for his known valor on the battlefield. In fact, Jack achieved the rank of Major by protecting his men from a surprise attack. The Prince received a top-notch education at one of Gilboa's leading military academies, following closely in his father's footsteps. The Queen carefully monitors her son, making sure he remains on the proper path that will one day ensure him the thrown. To the casual observer, Jack's passion for having a good time may suggest indulgence and lack of serious ambition. But Jack's desire to be the next King is far greater than anyone might imagine.

You may recognize Sebastian Stan from his stint as Carter Baizen on Gossip Girl, or maybe from his dark turn in 2006's The Covenant. For Stan newbies, though, the pensive actor might come as a pleasant surprise on NBC's Kings this fall as the self-destructive heir to the throne. Stan chatted with TVGuide.com during Comic-Con about his new role, sharing who he modeled it after and how the royal lifestyle compares to life in Hollywood - ie, under a constant spotlight

NBC has recently started promoting ‘Kings’ with promos aired during the 2008 US election coverage and a teaser trailer added to the recently updated official site. Links to the new stuff is as follows:

Also, Sebastian is featured in the new issue of Blackbook Magazine with Hunter Parish and Jonathan Groff. You can see the tiny article (which doesn’t mention Sebastian much at all)

NBC's new series, Kings, made headlines when Deadwood alum Ian McShane signed on to play King Silas Benjamin. But at the show's panel and press line at Comic-Con, it was the newcomers who were heating up the scene, especially in the absence of their elder costar.

The upcoming series, which is a modernized, soapy adaptation of the story of King David, features a number of newbies to look out for when it airs. Aussie actor Christopher Egan stars as David Shepherd, whose heroism draws him into Silas' court in a futuristic Manhattan. Egan's soft-spoken manner, sexy accent and looks akin to a fellow famous Aussie are sure to keep viewers (or just an editor or two) tuning in to see what he's got - and even more so when things heat up with the princess, played by the lovely Allison Miller.

Recent Gossip Girl guest (and Covenant star) Sebastian Stan plays Jack Benjamin, the gorgeous and arrogant son of King Silas who is on an oh-so-realistic downward spiral. Add some high couture, edgy set design and romantic plot twists to this hot group of up-and-comers, and you've got a recipe for what could be one of fall's slickest new shows. Will you be holding court with this revamped royal family?
